Project Description

This new high school is 370,000 square feet and was built to consolidate two former high schools in the area. The school is a completely wireless facility and utilizes natural light in 99% of the classrooms, including a music wing. The school also features a theater, gymnasium and new stadium, each seating 1,002, 2,500 and 4,000 people, respectively. The school also boasts an Olympic-size competition swimming pool, along with a therapy pool. Mercy Health will also occupy the school.

TP Mechanical was excited to work on the West Clermont High School project with Turner Construction. Our scope of work was to completely install Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC (Chillers, Boilers and Chilled Beams), sheet metal and building automation for energy management. TP Mechanical coordinated and fabricated all the piping and plumbing fixtures installed into the facility to maximize field labor efficiency. The schedule was aggressive, requiring more than 40 TP personnel and two on-site superintendents during peak times. Schedule milestones were aggressive and TP achieved all goals as the largest subcontractor to Turner.

The pool HVAC systems required specialized piping and operational parameters based on the conditions required to maintain the proper climate. TP installed and provided proper technical expertise to achieve performance parameters regarding temperature and humidity specifications. Optimal start was implemented in the controls strategy to maximize efficiency. We have also teamed up with Turner to upgrade the laundry services from residential to commercial operation.
