WHY CHOOSE TP?

A History of Excellence

TP Plumbing was founded in 1953 as William J. Teepe Inc. (Cincinnati, Ohio). Over the years, the company transformed into Teepe’s River City Mechanical by adding HVAC to their plumbing expertise. This allowed them to provide customers the option to choose one mechanical contractor for all their needs.

In 1999, they joined American Plumbing and Mechanical along with J.A. Croson and Franklin Fire. Under the successful leadership of Steve Teepe, Scott Teepe and Dave Croson, they grew and became AMPAM Commercial Midwest.

In 2003, Scott Teepe and his management partners purchased AMPAM Commercial Midwest and formed Teepe & Partners Mechanical, Inc., publicly known as TP Mechanical.

In 2015, Scott Teepe sold his majority share to Bill Riddle and Tim Teepe. Riddle and Teepe, along with 15 other partners, have grown TP Mechanical to where it is today.

Our expertise and unparalleled track record result from 70 years of industry experience.

In 2022, TP Mechanical joined TriplePoint – a regional corporation leading full-line mechanical companies to optimize their operations and growth. This relationship further positions the company to raise and meet a high bar for safety, customer service, employee retention and development and technical excellence across the Midwest.

Today, TP Mechanical is a $150 million mechanical contractor with locations in Cincinnati, Ohio; Columbus, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; Lexington, Kentucky; and Indianapolis, Indiana. As the region’s only all-service mechanical contractor, we are qualified, capable and experienced in a variety of service areas, including plumbing, HVAC piping, sheet metal, fire protection, process piping, service and maintenance along with offering design-assist services on-demand. We have design and construction expertise that includes hospitals, laboratories, office buildings, sporting complexes, hotels, university living facilities, historical renovations, schools and various other commercial facilities.

TP Mechanical’s state-certified apprenticeship program and nationally recognized safety program are the cornerstones of its success. At TP Mechanical, we strive to be the premier contractor that builds everlasting value by transforming our industry through a culture of honesty, safety, innovation and servant leadership.
