TP Mechanical Contractors appoints new president
Cincinnati, OH – TP Mechanical Contractors has recently appointed Bill Riddle to serve as president of the mechanical contracting services company headquartered in Cincinnati.
Riddle, has been with TP Mechanical since 1985, holding various positions in the field and the corporate office, including project management, superintendent and estimating. He most recently served as vice president of commercial construction, where he oversaw the commercial group and provided strategic and organizational leadership to improve efficiencies and expand the customer base.
“I genuinely love working with and for this company. I appreciate the company’s values and the culture here,” said Riddle, 45. “To be in a position to lead the company that I’m passionate about is an honor for me. My primary goal is to continue to make TP Mechanical the best mechanical contracting company in our region and provide clients with superior service.”
Since 2003, Scott Teepe has served as president and will now transition into a more strategically focused role as CEO and chairman. The organization has offices in Cincinnati, Columbus, Lexington and Louisville. Teepe said he is confident Riddle will continue to represent the organization’s core values while continuing to grow the client base in both public and private sectors.
“We have had tremendous success in the public sector, and our hope in the next year under Bill’s leadership is to expand further into the private sector,” Teepe said. “Bill has grown up in the business, beginning as an apprentice plumber. His management capabilities are second-to-none. He is without a doubt, the right man for the job.”
He also has the support of TP Mechanical’s customers and stakeholders. Marty Corrado, project executive for field operations at Skanska USA, said he believes Riddle is the ideal leader to serve as president of the company.
“He is just the kind of person who you want to work with all the time,” said Corrado, who has worked with TP Mechanical on several projects. “He does everything right. If Bill says something is going to get done, it’s going to get done. It’s a huge benefit to have him in this position.”
After working with TP Mechanical for more than four years, Corrado is also an advocate of the contracting firm as a whole, citing the employees’ commitment to clients as being the company’s top competitive advantage.
“If we had five more TP Mechanicals, we still wouldn’t have enough. In my opinion, they set the standard in the subcontractor market,” Corrado said.
Riddle said that with the tenuous position of construction in the economic recovery, TP Mechanical will continue to emphasize flexibility and maintain its ability adapt to the ever changing needs of its customers. He attributes the company’s success and sustainability to forward thinking, planning and continuous improvement.
“My biggest hope is to drive success that provides more opportunities for our employees,” Riddle said. “We have the formula for continued and lasting success – an experienced and dedicated team, and a commitment to doing the right thing for our clients, every time.”
