TP Mechanical is seeking a Fire Protection Designer to assist in the design and layout of fire sprinkler systems for commercial and industrial projects. Job Description

At TP Mechanical, our Fire Protection team plays a vital role in designing, managing, and installing life-saving fire suppression systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. From estimators and designers to project managers, we’re hiring passionate professionals who want to make a difference every day.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3 years of fire protection or mechanical industry experience
  • NICET Level I–III Certification (role dependent)
  • Understanding of NFPA codes and fire system layouts
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or related design software
  • Strong project management or estimating experience (for PM roles)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

  • NICET Level IV Certification

  • Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field

  • Revit MEP or Hydronic estimating software experience

  • Previous commercial installation experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • AutoCAD experience and third party software training
  • HydraCAD software experience
  • BIM (Navisworks) experience
  • REVIT experience
  • General knowledge of NFPA codes
  • Competent math ability
  • Good basic computer skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
