The OSU Board of Trustees named the building in memory of Mary Franc Morrison, the first women to receive a degree from the University. The Ohio State University has been making some major changes throughout their campus. Everything from dorms and dining facilities to fitness centers and recreational spaces are being constructed. Even a new retail pavilion will be added within this major campus expansion and renovation. The two major projects have been the $171 million South Campus High Rise renovation and the $370 million renovation to the North Campus.

A series of residence hall renovations on the campus of The Ohio State University posed a unique challenge – maintaining mechanical and water service after demolition of the residence hall that contains the current energy plant for the area. UK’s College of Pharmacy is ranked 5th in the nation and its 286,000-square-foot BioPharm complex facility was created to provide top researchers, scientific minds and students with 21st-century tools. The research conducted in this building has an impact on the future of medicine and changes lives.

The first three floors of the building were completed in January 2010 and opened to pharmacy students and faculty. Although the fourth and fifth floors were slated to house research labs, they had not yet been fitted out.
